Bulldog Foundation Hall of Fame

Honoring Big Spring High School alumni whose achievements and service reflect the best of Big Spring. Inductees are honored each November at a reception at Big Spring High School. Anyone can nominate. The foundation board reviews every nomination against the criteria below each summer and announces the class in early fall.

Who qualifies

Big Spring High School alumni whose accomplishments, service, and character bring credit to Big Spring. Honorees may be recognized in life or posthumously. The board also presents a Community Service Award alongside each class. That award recognizes sustained service to Big Spring students and schools and is not limited to alumni.

Nominations are accepted year-round. The board reviews them each summer for the November class. Use the nomination form at the bottom of this page.

David L. Evelhoch

Class of 1962 · Community Service Award

Army veteran, 34 years at Letterkenny Army Depot, and decades of volunteer leadership in 4-H, veterans’ memorials, and scholarship fundraising across Cumberland County.

Frank L. Myers

Class of 1970

Thirty-one years teaching and coaching at West Perry, long service to his church and community, and a member of the Big Spring School Board and the foundation board.

Sergeant Timothy Hayslett

Class of 1996

Honored posthumously. Raised in Big Spring, enlisted in 1998, served with the 1st Armored Division in Iraq, and died of wounds received in combat on November 15, 2003. Purple Heart and Bronze Star.

Aron Rook

Class of 2001

Illustrator and muralist with more than 20 public murals across central Pennsylvania, founder of a collaborative art studio, and mentor to young artists.
